Mathematical Model of Radio Frequency Assisted Heat Pump Drying of Ganoderma Lucidum (Ganoderma Boninense)

This study proposed a mathematical model which was used to predict the temperature and moisture content of Ganoderma lucidum (Ganoderma boninense) during radio frequency (RF) assisted heat pump (HP) drying process. The simultaneous mass transfer equations were established based on physical flat plate models for specific assumptions problem. finite difference method solve problem, in which, pdepe function adjusted complemented with Matlab software. material process predicted. effect output RF power evaluated. process's input parameters air 40oC, velocity 1.2 m/s, an 1.95 kW, 0.65 0 kW. results showed that when increases, heating rate time is shortened significantly. reaches 20 minutes, 30 220 minutes 465, 555, 700 corresponding predicted compared experimental data, considerably good agreement found.
